Venture North Vehicles, Inc. is located in the heart of the Brainerd lakes Area. Our mission is simple: Sell premium brand recreational and utility vehicles while providing the highest levels of service and integrity to our customers, our employees and our community.

Terry Layer, the principle owner, has spent much of his free time in the lakes area over the years including working at local resorts during his college days at St. John's University. Terry is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and he spent 20 years in engineering management in the aerospace and defense industry. For 12 years prior to founding Venture North Vehicles, Terry held a management position in a retail merchandising organization. While rewarding, he freely admits that, "...over the last few years I was a reluctant participant in the rat race, and ultimately the rats won." Happily for Terry, he is now operating a business that he truly enjoys, in the area he truly enjoys, and where honesty and integrity are the principles upon which this company is founded.

Tom Motzel, Terry's partner and son-in-law, has been a successful sales and marketing executive in the Twin Cities since graduating from St. Thomas University. Tom was instrumental in establishing our relationship with Minnesota's Club Car distributor and has developed the marketing plan for our Golf Course, Commercial and Individual sales and service initiatives. He brings a special knack for creating customized solutions for our entire client base. Tom's talents and high energy level assures that our customers will be well taken care of before, during and after the sales process.
